Dry Needling Services
What is Dry needling?
Dry needling (DN) is a skilled technique performed by a specialty trained and certified healthcare practitioner (in this case Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist)
The focus and goal is to help with myofascial, trigger point pain, loosen up “knots” in the muscle, increase circulation and a positive inflammation response to encourage and tap into your body’s natural healing.
We use a sterile monofilament needle, which is inserted into the tissue to effect and promote positive change in levels of pain, movement, circulation and overall function.
At Pathways Hand Therapy, we focus on concerns initially with elbow to finger tip, but work up into shoulder/neck/upper back, as it relates to your Hand therapy issues and how it effects your ability to complete daily tasks whether routine or leisure.
