Pathways Hand Therapy & Wellness is located in a quiet country setting just south of Nevada, Iowa, in Story County. Away from the usual hustle and bustle, you can expect a calm setting with few visible or audible distractions — aside from the occasional wildlife making an appearance!
Cellular service can be spotty in the area, so complimentary Wi-Fi is available for your use.
You can expect a comfortable, relaxed setting, with refreshments provided.
Hiya!
My name is Kathy. I am an Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist, and Health Coach with over 23 years of experience in healthcare.
I've worked in many different settings, including hospital inpatient and outpatient care, home health, skilled nursing, community and government agencies, and supporting adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.
For the past 12 or so years, my professional focus has been hand therapy. Along the way, my own health and wellness journey sparked a passion for nutrition, health coaching, and a functional medicine perspective on health and wellness. I've become especially interested in looking beyond symptoms and exploring the many factors that can influence how someone feels and functions.
Why Pathways?
I wanted to bring these areas of experience and passion together — combining my background in hand therapy with a functional, root-cause approach to health and wellness.
It is my hope that Pathways Hand Therapy & Wellness can help you find your path toward better health, better function, and feeling more like yourself.

A Little About Kathy
Kathy lives near Nevada, Iowa, in Story County/central Iowa, with her husband, Jeff, and their two dogs, Tuney and Nellie.
When she's not at Pathways, you'll often find her caring for the dogs, camping, hiking, or working on her latest state high-pointing adventure. She's also a bit of a home improvement junkie!
And because Kathy is always curious about ways to feel and function better, she enjoys a little “biohacking” — exploring and discovering new ways to support the health and wellness of their household.
